The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has introduced new UPI transaction limits to enhance the convenience of digital payments across India. The UPI123Pay service, used on feature phones, now allows transactions up to ₹10,000, double the previous limit of ₹5,000. For UPI Lite, the wallet limit has increased to ₹5,000, with a per-transaction cap raised to ₹500. These updates aim to streamline small-value payments and promote broader adoption of UPI, making digital transactions smoother and more efficient for users across devices.
